Starting from Swedish Joint Research

Since the 1970’s the Swedish nuclear community has with joint efforts funded research to continuously improve the safety and efficiency of the national nuclear fleet.

The research has traditionally been divided into different focus areas including reactor safety, dose build up, lifetime extension and efficiency improvements.

Several hundred extensive studies and tailored experiments have been performed in Studsvik facilities within this framework.

Over the years, this has expanded into a number of well-renowned international research programs.
