Last week representatives from Kansai Electric Power Company, Mitsubishi Heavy Industries (MHI) and Kobelco visited our inDRUM Demonstration Facility to learn more about the technology and its applications for Japanese wastes.

It was noted that inDRUM’s versatility could be incredible useful for the treatment of operational and historic wastes that require treatment prior to disposal. Studsvik’s longstanding history of working with Japanese customers and also for projects in Japan, supports the long and important relationships we are looking to develop further to support waste treatment. Our experts provided the results of some recent testing of a variety of waste forms showing the significant volume reduction and stabilisation of the various waste forms. The Studsvik team are looking forward to working further in the field of waste treatments and in our ongoing relationship with Japanese customers.
