Radioacitve waste management

We have extensive experience of international and national environmental regulations regarding the disposal of radioactive waste. We have qualified Dangerous Goods Safety Advisors (DGSA) who have specialized in class 7 transports to help customers with transportation, packaging and logistics issues. Our DGSAs can also support all other transport classes. 

An important part of radioactive waste management is to qualify both containers and waste forms for disposal in a final repository. There is a need for updating, further development and innovation in the area to ensure cost-effective and safe concepts that comply with the supervisory authorities' increasingly stringent requirements.

Studsvik operates and maintains its own fleet of packages which includes IP-1, IP-2, Type A and Type B.
