Studsvik has had an active presence in Japan for 30 years, where we have supported Japanese utilities, research and other organisations in the fields of Fuel and Matierals Technology, and software analysis.
In 2016, Studsvik, working with its long-term Japanese partner Kobelco (representing Kobe Steel), established a Japanese joint venture company, KOBELCO STUDSVIK Co. Ltd. The purpose of this joint venture is to deliver nuclear waste management technolgies and solutions to Japanese customers, based on combining Studsvik nuclear and technological epxertise along with Kobelco's industrial strength and local implementation capability.
