During 2011 we continued to work to minimize environmental impact, both regarding emissions to air and discharges to water. In Sweden and the UK, Studsvik cooperates with local organizations to protect and enhance the values of habitats. Regarding the generation of waste, we have not succeeded in decreasing the amounts. However, this is an issue that must be tackled in co-operation with Studsvik’s customers, since one of our missions is to reduce the volume of customers waste. This means that increased quantities of waste from customers will result in increased, but less contaminated, quantities of waste from Studsvik.

Focus for 2012

  • We will continue to work on minimizing environmental impact and on co-operating with local organizations to protect habitats in areas where operations are located (Sweden and the UK).
