Studsvik exhibiting a Low Level Waste Forum

Studsvik will be exhibiting and speaking at the LLW Forum on 25th April 2012 at the Rheged Discovery Centre in Penrith, UK. The forum is held every year and is hosted by the National Low Level Waste Repository (LLWR) with selected invitees from across the nuclear industry in the UK. Studsvik staff will be available for networking and sharing information on the services the company can offer.

The 2012 Customer Forum will focus on progress with the National Waste Programme for lower activity wastes and the introduction of three new services for Customers from April 2012:

  • Waste Characterisation Services
  • Transport Services
  • Very Low Level Waste Disposal Services

The conference will also address the proposed changes to the Waste Acceptance Criteria from the implementation of the new Environmental Safety Case for the Low Level Waste Repository.

The 2012 Customer Forum will also be linked to the Nuclear Institute’s Low Level Waste 2012 Conference, which will take place on Thursday 26th April at Rheged. The Nuclear Institute Conference will provide a complimentary view of current issues within the treatment and disposal of Low Level Waste across the UK and Studsvik will also be exhibiting and attending this event.

Studsvik will also be attending the Nuclear Institute conference dinner on the evening of Wednesday 25th April at Rheged.
